Job summary

St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, CO, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following hospital policies to support our patient-centered mission.

You will perform vital patient care tasks, assist nursing staff, and participate in a collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
  • State registered CNA license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
  • Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs.
  • Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.
  • Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
  • Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
  • Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
  • Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
State registered CNA license

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program

  • State registered CNA license


Preferred


  • Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.
