Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma/endorsement.
  • Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
  • One year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual domains.
  • Evaluate patient responses and intervene to optimize outcomes.
  • Develop and implement the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Perform therapeutic/diagnostic tasks (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Document status, interventions and outcomes timely.
  • Use IT to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
  • Advocate for patient safety and rights in collaboration with the care team.
  • Educate patients and families based on learning readiness and needs.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of teaching provided to patients/families.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance. As our RN, you will facilitate communication and collaboration with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with a commitment to compassionate, high‑quality patient care, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to apply the nursing process effectively within a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

  • Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
  • Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
  • Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
  • Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
  • Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision‑making.
  • Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
  • Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.
  • Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.
Job Requirements
  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or endorsement; Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of employment; One year recent inpatient RN experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Physical Requirements: Medium work — exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute inpatient care, as well as a multitude of subspecialists across our specialty clinics. As a 50‑bed facility, St. Elizabeth serves as the region’s referral center for northeastern Colorado.
