Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg - Surgery Unit at night in Fort Worth, TX. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care across shifts, collaborating with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing diploma or higher, Texas RN licensure, and have ACLS/EKG within 90 days. This is a full-time, on-site role in a 7p–7a night schedule at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or higher required; state licensure required.
• Current Texas RN licensure or reciprocity within 90 days.
• Experience levels for RN I–IV as listed (6 mo to 10+ yrs).
• BLS certification required and ACLS/EKG within 90 days for monitored units.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, direct, implement and provide quality patient care for assigned patients.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs and report changes.
• Perform data collection from patient history and presenting complaints.
• Collaborate on treatment plans and discharge planning with family involvement.
• Document orders and patient charges accurately in medical records and systems.

Education

Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
