Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit (Med Surg-Neuro/Stroke/SPU) in Boston. You will provide patient-centered care using our evidence-based model, supported by a collaborative nursing team.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional development within a mission-driven hospital that values staff growth and inclusive care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification may be required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
