Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is seeking an Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuous career growth.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BRN approved nursing program and acute care hospital experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in California.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) with certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Preferred: 2 years acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
  • Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems.
  • Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.
