Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (CPR) at hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners, and adjusts nursing care processes for optimal patient care.
• Monitors patients' condition and reports changes to the physician/shift coordinator/supervisor.
• Performs technical nursing procedures and seeks assistance as needed.
• Implements patient histories, assesses conditions, and develops individualized care plans; documents care progress.
• Assesses educational needs and delivers multidisciplinary patient education; documents teaching.
• Administers narcotics and medications accurately and timely, signs out narcotics per policy.

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
• Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems.
• Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.
• Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner. Signs out narcotics as per hospital policy.
