Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes, adjusting nursing care as needed.
  • Monitor patients and report changes to the physician or supervisor.
  • Perform technical nursing procedures safely and seek help when required.
  • Develop and update individualized care plans as patient conditions evolve.
  • Assess educational needs and provide multidisciplinary education to patients.
  • Administer narcotics and medications accurately and timely, per policy.

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
  • Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems.
  • Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.
  • Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner. Signs out narcotics as per hospital policy.

Preferred
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and 1-3 years More than 2 years of Acute Care RN experience, upon hire
