Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care environments. Ideal candidates have a Florida RN license (or compact), a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS/ACLS with NIHSS certification. Acute care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or compact license with FL requirement within 60 days
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (6-month grace period)
• NIHSS certification required (6 months grace period)
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Possible CCRN/ PM surgical specialties credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including postings and results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
