Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Float Pool. This Regular, day shift role offers 7am–7pm schedules with weekend/holiday rotation and potential sign-on bonus eligibility.

You will assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, accurate documentation, medication administration, and collaborative care planning with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Missouri.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with clinical teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessment and ongoing reassessment.
• Documents findings accurately in the medical record.
• Administers and documents medications per policy.
• Coordinates and communicates care plans with the health team and family.
• Provides patient education and discharge planning.
• Performs bedside handoffs with SBAR and other reporting methods.
