Genesiscareers in West Virginia seeks an experienced MDS Nurse -- RN to manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation and ensure proper reimbursement for services in our nursing centers.

You will schedule MDS assessments, perform concurrent reviews for appropriate RUGs, and share case-mix data with the Business Office. This role requires RN licensure, LTAC experience, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and MDS processes.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• MDS assessments scheduling and reference dates for billing.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to improve reimbursement.
• Communicate case-mix data for billing to the Business Office.
• Serve as the MDS/RUGs resource and educate staff on terminology.
