Job summary

Elm Wood Center is seeking a Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator (MDS) to manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation and ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided in the nursing center.

You will maintain MDS schedules, perform concurrent reviews, and communicate case-mix data to the Business Office. RN licensure and LTC experience are required, with BLS/CPR certification maintained.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• One year of long term care clinical nursing experience.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, MDS completion, case management desirable.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate schedule of all MDS assessments and ensure timely submission of MDS assessments.
• Perform concurrent MDS review to support appropriate RUGs category and optimize reimbursement.
• Communicate case-mix data required for billing to the Business Office (RUGs categories, modifiers, scores).
• Serve as the nursing center resource for MDS/RUGs and state case-mix systems with education and instruction.
