Genesiscareers in Wayne, PA is seeking a MDS Coordinator - RN to ensure timely and accurate completion of the MDS assessment and to review care plans for physical, cognitive, and social factors to meet high standards of care.

You will manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation for appropriate reimbursement, perform concurrent MDS reviews to maximize RUG categories, and coordinate inputs from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
