Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation in the United States is seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator - RN to ensure timely and accurate completion of the MDS tool and review care plans to meet high standards of care.

You will coordinate Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents, conduct concurrent MDS reviews to maximize RUG categories, and collaborate with nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehab, and physicians to ensure proper reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
