Job summary

The Laurels of Coldwater Careers is seeking an MDS Nurse to support accurate Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) completion, including MDS, CAAs, care planning, and documentation, in compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will ensure assessments reflect residents' clinical status and support individualized care planning, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. RN with CPR certification preferred; prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes.
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles of PPS and Case Mix systems strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate and timely completion of the MDS/RAI including CAAs and care plans.
• Support documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Ensure assessments reflect each resident’s clinical status and support individualized care planning.
