The Laurels of Kent, part-time MDS Nurse position, is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the MDS and CAAs, and supporting documentation in accordance with regulations. This role ensures assessments reflect each resident’s clinical status and supports individualized care planning.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes.
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles of the Prospective Payment Process (PPS) and Case Mix systems strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.
