Job summary

Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced RN MDS Coordinator/RNAC to lead reimbursement efforts. You will develop strategies to optimize Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and ensure accurate MDS assessments and care plans in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Pennsylvania RN license, have PDPM experience, and can mentor a team while collaborating with payors and interdisciplinary staff to maximize revenue and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania
• Prior reimbursement, MDS, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations experience
• PDPM experience required
• Restorative Nursing experience required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective financial strategies to optimize reimbursement and maximize revenue
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate and compliant MDS assessments, care plans, and reimbursement documentation
• Analyze and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize billing and coding processes
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with payors, insurance companies, and government agencies to ensure optimal reimbursement rates and payment terms
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to reimbursement and billing
• Lead and mentor a team of reimbursement professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality performance
• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting efforts to drive business growth and profitability
