Job summary

Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator/RNAC to lead reimbursement efforts and ensure compliant MDS processes for residents in Pennsylvania. The role emphasizes strategic budgeting, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing revenue optimization.

Ideal candidate holds an active PA RN license, PDPM experience, and restorative nursing background, with strong analytic and leadership capabilities to guide a reimbursement team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Prior reimbursement, MDS, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations experience.
• PDPM experience required.
• Restorative Nursing experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data and develop solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective financial strategies to optimize reimbursement and maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate and compliant MDS assessments, care plans, and reimbursement documentation.
• Analyze and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize billing and coding processes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with payors, insurance companies, and government agencies to ensure optimal reimbursement rates and payment terms.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to reimbursement and billing.
• Lead and mentor a team of reimbursement professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality performance.
• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting efforts to drive business growth and profitability.
