Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience; LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• The MDS Coordinator - RN ensures timely and accurate completion of the MDS tool and reviews care plans for physical, cognitive, and social factors to meet quality standards.
• Manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation to secure appropriate reimbursement for services in the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to achieve maximum allowable RUG categories; coordinate with nursing and ancillary teams.
