Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in Maternal Child Services to deliver evidence-based nursing care across labor and delivery, mother/baby, and high-risk antepartum units.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document at the point of care, educate families, and participate in safe discharge planning while pursuing BSN and certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Maternal child services experience in hospital setting preferred.
• ACLS and NRP preferred; obtain within 6 months.
• BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years.
• Demonstrated teamwork, accountability, patient focus, and commitment to ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health-care team about patient status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluation at point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.

Education

New Jersey RN license

BLS/CPR certification

ACLS certification (preferred)

NRP certification (preferred)

BSN in progress or acceptable timeframe
