The Registered Nurse in Maternal Child Services at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering individualized patient care in a collaborative environment across labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn nursery settings.

You will perform nursing care based on evidence-based standards, communicate status with the healthcare team, administer medications with advanced bar-scanning and documentation, and document assessments and plans electronically.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey required.
• BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS and NRP preferred, must obtain within 6 months.
• Inpatient Obstetrics or External Fetal Monitoring certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based standards.

• Document assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharges for safe transitions.
• Care for Labor and Delivery patients and Mother/Baby couplet care.
• Support High Risk Antepartum care and Newborn Nursery care.
• Circulate in the Operating Room as needed.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Maternal Child Services at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering individualized patient care in a collaborative environment. • Pay: $45 - $45/hour
• Location: Neptune, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization and disease management.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transitions.
• Care for Labor and Delivery patients.
• Provide Mother/Baby couplet care.
• Manage High Risk Antepartum care.
• Circulate in the Operating Room and care for the Newborn Nursery.

Education

BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience

• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program
• Maternal child services experience in a hospital setting preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
• ACLS preferred, must obtain within 6 months
• NRP preferred, must obtain within 6 months
• Inpatient Obstetrics and/or External Fetal Monitoring Certification is a plus
