Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Labor and Delivery team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role focuses on triage and provides high-quality maternal-child care in a 36-bed unit with 2 ORs.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based nursing care, communicating with patients and the health care team, administering medications with advanced bar-scanning and documentation tools, and documenting care in the EHR.

Qualifications

• New Jersey RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years in maternal child services in a hospital setting.
• BSN in progress and/or within 3 years of hire.
• ACLS and NRP preferred; obtain within 6 months.
• Inpatient obstetrics experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per up-to-date evidence-based practices.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technology.
• Document care in the EHR.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure safe transition.
• Provide patient education to optimize health.
