Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join the medical department at St. Mary\'s Detention Center in Leonardtown, MD. This part-time MAT Day Shift role (6 am to 2:30 pm) involves providing comprehensive nursing care under supervision of the Nurse Supervisor, ADON, DON, and HSA.

The position offers a 2-week orientation with on-the-job training, overtime, shift and weekend differentials, holiday pay, and referral bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state the facility is located.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrate clinical competency.
• Experience with MAT and detoxing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under the supervision of a Medical Director or other mid-level practitioner according to protocols.
• Ensure proper flow of inmate/patient information to appropriate personnel.
• Provide health counseling to inmates/patients.
• Conduct sick calls and provide provisional diagnosis and treatment for minor illnesses.
• Administer immunizations, tuberculin testing, CPR, and related procedures.
• Perform twelve-lead ECGs and assemble results for interpretation.
• Record and file medical information in patient records.
• Administer treatments and medications prescribed by providers.
• Take vital signs and complete assessments at the start of each shift.
