Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the 6 North Medical Telemetry unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. This 38-bed unit focuses on direct, individualized patient care and ongoing professional development for staff.

The Nurse Manager will lead a highly engaged team, implement policies, manage resources and quality initiatives, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and support staff to ensure safe, high-quality care 24/7.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of three years' professional nursing experience.
• RN licensed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 30 days on the job.

• Formulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.
• Involve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.
• Continually update knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.

We’re currently seeking a Nurse Manager to join the 6 North Medical Telemetry team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement!

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

The 6 North Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit offers you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities.

A Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities
