Job summary

Bridgton Hospital in Bridgton, Maine, seeks an experienced RN Manager to provide 24-hour clinical and operational leadership for the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units in a supportive acute care environment.

Reporting to the CNO/DON, you will lead patient care, nursing operations, staff development, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance, while mentoring staff and driving performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental resources.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
