• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred.

About the Role:

A high-volume Labor and Delivery unit in Houston is seeking an experienced RN Manager to lead clinical operations and staff development. This is a prime opportunity to join one of the busiest and most respected L&D units in Texas, where over 800 deliveries occur monthly. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of maternal care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily clinical operations in a 15–20 bed Labor & Delivery unit
• Guide and mentor staff nurses, fostering accountability and engagement
• Drive clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, directors, and support teams to optimize patient care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Monitor staffing, unit budgets, and performance metrics
• Serve as a clinical expert and role model for the nursing team
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Texas
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• 3–5 years of recent leadership experience in an acute care Labor & Delivery setting
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• BLS and NRP required (NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• ACLS preferred
