Job summary

Kindred Hospital Aurora is a 37-bed long-term acute care facility offering private rooms and around-the-clock clinical care for extended recovery. The nursing team delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.

We emphasize planning, patient education, and discharge planning, with a focus on wound care and pulmonary outcomes. RN staff must be licensed, read/write English proficiently, and maintain good attendance.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state licensure).
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Six months of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and update patient care plans in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications following the five rights and document accordingly.
• Discharge planning and patient education.
