Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dallas Central is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop and adjust care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning to support smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• RN licensure in state of practice (Required upon hire) or compact state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the standard of nursing care and implement policies of the hospital and nursing department.
• Direct, supervise, provide, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Document admissions, assessments, care plans, and results in the medical record.
• Administer medications following the five rights and maintain patient safety.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary communication.
• Communicate patient status changes to Physicians, Nursing Supervisor, and team.
• Provide end-of-shift reports and ensure proper handoff documentation.
