Job summary

Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager responsible for supervising care delivery, assessing resident needs, developing care plans, and guiding CNAs and other staff in providing nursing care. The role emphasizes adherence to physician orders, documentation for billing, and maintaining quality and safety across shifts.

The position requires current state RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, strong documentation skills, and excellent English

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Meet physical and sensory requirements and work safely.
• Identify and participate in process improvements that enhance care and workflow.
• Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
• Supervise nursing staff and CNAs.
• Document services rendered for billing purposes.
• Develop and implement care plans addressing residents’ nursing needs.
• Perform daily rounds to monitor resident care and status.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Assign duties and coordinate nursing staff, resolving issues with staff as needed.
• Maintain infection control practices and promote a safe working environment.
