Job summary

Century Care Management is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for our Fayetteville long-term care facility. You will assess residents, manage care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality, resident-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold ADN/BSN, active RN license, and experience in geriatric or long-term care settings. CPR/BLS certification preferred; strong leadership and EHR skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing processes, care planning, and clinical assessment.
  • Ability to perform resident assessments and develop care plans.
  • Skilled in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and complex interventions.
  • Strong leadership abilities supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities (CMS).
  • Experience with quality improvement, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
  • Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with residents, families, physicians, and teams.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and safety.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
  • Take and record vital signs (BP, temp, HR).
  • Observe patients to identify progress and side-effects.
  • Monitor patient condition and chart care.
  • Assist residents with daily activities (eating, bathing).
  • Administer injections, medications, wound care; assist with basic care.
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients.
  • Communicate with families for guidance and care instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
  • Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
  • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities, including standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives, infection control programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care, advocacy, and maintaining resident dignity and safety.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
