Job summary

Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Melbourne, FL. This full-time role features 12-hour shifts, day or night, with pay up to $40/hour plus shift differentials.

You will deliver high-quality resident care, supervise staff, and ensure regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates hold a Florida RN license, CPR, and at least 2 years in long-term care, with strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid Florida RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or related healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure residents receive exceptional care in accordance with individualized care plans and regulatory standards
• Coordinate and delegate nursing assignments based on resident acuity and staff qualifications
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff, including onboarding and ongoing education
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in resident condition
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety and clinical care
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
