Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide direct, patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve care quality and outcomes across the assigned unit.

The role requires at least two years as an RN, a valid RN license in Virginia or a reciprocal state, and CPR certification. BSN preferred; experience in leadership and quality improvement is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two years as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN license from Virginia or reciprocal state required.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with licensed/unlicensed staff using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning with the care team.
• Communicate plan of care with health team members and nurses.
• Participate in performance improvement and unit/departmental committees.
• Provide input on unit needs and support safe patient/staff environment.
• Assist leadership and uphold hospital policies and procedures.
