Job summary

Med Career Solutions is seeking an RN Nurse Manager of Surgical Services in Arlington, TX. The role oversees professional nursing care in the Operating Room, coordinating with leadership to educate staff and implement policy. A strong background in surgical nursing and leadership in an OR setting is required.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, TX RN license (or compact), and BLS. CNOR is highly preferred, with a competitive compensation package and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of Operating Room acute care leadership experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of RN staff level OR experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge in surgical nursing.
• Bachelor's degree – Required
• Current TX RN license or compact state license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• CNOR - Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures delivery of professional nursing care in the Operating Room by assessing, planning, directing and evaluating care for surgery patients.
• Collaborates with OR Educator in education and training of department staff.
• Develops staff through department needs assessment and goals.
• Implements policies and ensures fiscal responsibility for the department.
• Acts as liaison between OR staff, administration, medical staff and other departments.
• Participates in facility management team meetings and budget processes.
