Job summary

CareCore at Gaymont in Norwalk, Ohio is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and uphold exceptional resident care. This RN leader will drive quality, compliance, and staff development across the facility.

The DON will oversee nursing operations, staffing, regulatory readiness, and interdepartmental collaboration to achieve superior resident outcomes and a positive, resident-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Long-Term Care (LTC) leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Experience with state surveys and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical quality.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff through coaching and education.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Participate in quality assurance, infection prevention, and survey readiness initiatives.
• Foster a positive, resident-centered culture throughout the facility.
