Job summary

Brighton Post Acute Care seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing operations, collaborate with Administrators, and guide clinical teams toward safe, compassionate resident care within a 78-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting.

You will oversee the dialysis den, mentor staff, monitor rounds and policy implementation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while fostering a respectful, patient-centered work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or related healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience with knowledge of leadership, staff development, and teaching practices.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for professional interactions with staff, residents, families, and agencies.
• Knowledge to provide age-appropriate care; strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and laws governing nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning nursing operations and coordinating priorities.
• Serve as care champion for the dialysis den to maintain clinical excellence.
• Monitor unit activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, and coach staff as needed.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the medical team.
• Conduct rounds to ensure timely care, coordination, cleanliness, and staff morale.
• Oversee administrative functions to support compliant Nursing Services operations.
