Job summary

SAK Management is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Landmark of Itaska to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes adherence to facility policies and accurate nursing documentation.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN degree with an active license in the state, strong English communication skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities to manage staff and care plans effectively.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a RN Degree.
• Must have a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility
• Ensures that all nursing personnel assigned to your shift comply with the written policies and procedures established by the facility
• Charts nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician, and verifies the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment
• Ensures that rooms are ready for new admissions and participates in the orientation of new residents/family members to the facility
• Reviews care plans to ensure that appropriate care is being rendered and informs the Nurse Supervisor of any changes that need to be made
• Maintains a written record of the resident's complaints and/or grievances that indicates the action taken to resolve the complaint and the current status of the complaint
