Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN will apply the nursing process to assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Virginia or a reciprocal compact state; BSN is preferred and AHA BLS CPR is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has RN experience.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient, family and health team involvement in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate plan of care with the health team.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and hospital committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
