Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antenatal, and Post-Partum patients. You will supervise licensed practical nurses and support staff, while ensuring care aligns with hospital policies and the nurse practice act.

The role requires RN licensure in Louisiana, BLS on hire, and at least 1 year of labor experience. ALS/NRP are preferred and must be completed within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Board Certified RN program completed.
• 1 year labor experience required.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• BLS required on hire.
• ALS and NRP preferred on hire, required within 3 months of hire.
• ILCOR courses with manikin check off.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring within 3 months, updated every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antenatal and Post-Partum (couplet) patients.
• Supervise the activities of LPNs, Unit Assistants and CNAs.
• Comply with State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
