Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU on the night shift in Covington, LA. The RN will coordinate clinical activities, provide comprehensive NICU care, and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds LA RN licensure, board certification, and current BLS, with NICU experience (1 year Level IV or 2 years Level III). NRP and PALS are required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current LA RN licensure required.
• Board Certified Nursing Program completed.
• BLS required upon hire; NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• ILCOR-accredited courses acceptable with manikin check-off.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NICU patient care using nursing process.
• Supervise LPNs, Unit Assistants and CNAs.
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards.
