Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, following nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the care team.

The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and teamwork within a 7-bed unit that supports triage, labor, delivery, PACU, postpartum, and newborn care.

Qualifications

• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.

Responsabilités

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
• He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
• The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Formation

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

RN license in Georgia (Georgia State Licensure)

BCLS - Basic Life Support

Advanced certification in field of specialty

Overview

Join the dedicated Labor & Delivery team at Piedmont Walton, where compassionate care and clinical excellence go hand in hand. Our 7-bed unit, with an integrated OR and PACU, supports 30-40 deliveries each month and provides comprehensive care for a wide range of patients and obstetric needs-from triage and labor to surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.

Our team thrives on strong prioritization, professionalism, and collaboration to provide safe, patient-centered care. Staffing ratios are thoughtfully guided by patient acuity and volume: 1:1 in active labor and OR/recovery, 2:1 for patients on magnesium therapy, and 3:1 for couplet care. These ratios reflect our commitment to maintaining the highest standards while adjusting to clinical realities as needed.

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
