Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS required.
• NRP required (within 90 days of hire/transfer).
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (within 90 days of hire).
• Minimum 1-year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience, in a comparable or more active unit or completion of Labor and Delivery course at Southern Hills Hospital, including surgical suite.

Responsibilities

• You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition.
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
• You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
• You will participate in performance improvement activities.
• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require.
