Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting.

You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team, uphold patient-centered care principles, and contribute to the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional cardiovascular, neurological, and maternity services. BSN is required and active Nevada RN licensure with BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP or equivalent are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required.
• Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs nursing staff to ensure safe, optimal health care outcomes.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team and oversees staff under supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
