Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock is hiring a Registered Nurse for Women’s Services – RN Labor and Delivery. This full-time, night-shift position (7pm–7am) supports maternal care with Level 2 capabilities and multiple labor/postpartum rooms.

You’ll assess patients, develop and adjust care plans, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while upholding Texas Nursing Practice Act guidelines.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program is required.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license is required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting is required.

Responsibilities

• As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model.
• Perform patient assessment, recognize issues, and create care plans.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
• Educate patients, families, nurses and community members.
• Document learning needs and ensure safety and quality in care delivery.
