Job summary

Join CJW Medical Center's Johnston-Willis Hospital in the 24-suite labor and delivery unit, delivering direct patient care to delivering mothers and newborns, guiding them through their stay with a collaborative team.

The role requires RN with Virginia license (or Compact), BSN preferred, at least 1 year in an acute care setting, and 1 year in Labor and Delivery preferred; BLS and NRP certs due within 30 days of start date. We value teamwork and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or Compact License.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
• 1 year of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
• Not open to new grads or nursing students.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• NRP certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to delivering mothers and newborns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, nurses, and specialists.
• Monitor and document patient conditions using computerized systems.
• Educate patients and families and maintain cultural sensitivity.
