Job summary

Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center is seeking experienced L&D nurses to join a 15-suite unit with 2 OR rooms and Level III NICU, delivering care across labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum.

Utilize the nursing process to provide patient-centered care, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. RN license in state or compact, BLS certification required; sign-on bonus, tuition reimbursement, relocation support, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• Current RN license in-state or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and ensures professional accountability
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and participates in care planning across labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum stages
