Job summary

Jobot is seeking a licensed RN - Labor and Delivery Nurse to join a dynamic team delivering newborns, caring for postpartum mothers, and supporting families during one of life’s pivotal moments. You’ll monitor fetal heart rates, assist with delivery methods, and administer medications as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state, at least 1 year in labor and delivery or related fields, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing direct patient care to laboring women, which includes monitoring the fetal heart rate, timing contractions, and assisting with various delivery methods.
2. Administering medications, performing episiotomies, and assisting with cesarean sections as needed.
3. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, midwives, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.

Qualifications

1. Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics, women's health, or a related field.
3. BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; certification in fetal monitoring preferred.
4. Strong clinical skills with the ability to react decisively in emergency situations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with, and provide support to patients and their families.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
7. Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based care in labor and delivery.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
