Job summary

Bradley Medical Center in Cleveland, TN seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide direct care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery and postpartum recovery. You will monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, assist with labor progression, and support vaginal or cesarean deliveries.

Responsibilities include administering meds, managing pain relief, newborn assessments, breastfeeding support and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
• Must be willing to work all areas of Women's Services.
• Preferred experience in Mother-Baby, NICU, and Labor and Delivery.

Job description

• Certifications: ACLS & BLS (AHA or ARC);
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN Experience
• Must be willing to work all areas of Women's Services
• Preferred experience in Mother-Baby, NICU, and Labor and Delivery
• Ideal Candidate: Able to pick up 2 shifts per week, work 2 weekends every 6 weeks, and 1 major + 1 minor holiday annually.
• Required Immunizations: MMR, Varicella or Declination, Hep B or Declination, Flu or Declination, TB

What you will be doing:

Labor & Delivery RNs at Bradley Medical Center provide direct care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Daily duties include monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, assisting with labor progression, and supporting both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. RNs administer medications, manage pain relief options, and respond quickly to complications. They also provide newborn assessments, support breastfeeding and bonding, educate new parents on postpartum care, and collaborate closely with OB physicians and midwives throughout each shift.
