Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Supervisor for the LDRP unit on days. The role ensures 12-hour accountability for organizing, directing, and coordinating patient care with a focus on family-centered care and the Watson Model of Care.

The supervisor will lead staffing, admissions, transfers, and discharge planning while maintaining regulatory compliance and promoting clinical excellence. A BSN and CA RN license are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• BSN required; if not yet completed, must finish BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing in LDRP with 1 year of supervisor experience.
• Current California Nursing license.
• Maternal Child Health Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as unit liaison to Medical Staff and other personnel.
• Manage laboring patient and newborn care as needed.
• Plan discharges and transfers in collaboration with Care Management.
• Anticipate staffing needs and adjust as required.
• Assign beds and allocate staff based on acuity, census, and skills.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safe, high-quality care.
