Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor for L&D in a day shift, full-time role. The incumbent will supervise clinical practice, coordinate patient care, and promote a family-centered approach under the guidance of the Nurse Manager and Director for Maternal Child Health Nursing.

The role demands strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and commitment to the hospital's Mission and Core Values, with a focus on safe, compassionate care and staff development.

Qualifications

• BSN required or equivalent with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in LDRP; at least 1 year in a Clinical Unit Supervisor role.
• Certification in Maternal Child Health Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison to Medical Staff and personnel.
• Lead labor and postpartum care teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Plan for discharge and transfers with Care Management; allocate staff and beds.
• Monitor unit performance, uphold safety and regulatory standards.
• Participate in orientation and evaluation of new staff.
