Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Indiana. The role runs a 13-week contract with 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM). Requires 2+ years L&D, Indiana or compact RN license, BLS, NRP, and familiarity with AWHONN guidelines.

The nurse will care for laboring, pre-term, and postpartum patients and newborns, handling vaginal and cesarean deliveries and neonatal resuscitation with 1:1 care during active labor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current RN license in Indiana or compact license.
  • BLS (AHA) required, NRP required, STABLE preferred.
  • Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring experience.
  • Familiarity with AWHONN guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Care for laboring, pre-term, and post-partum OB patients and newborns.
  • Manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries and neonatal resuscitation.
  • Proficiency in cervical exams and fetal monitor interpretation.
  • Operate EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, and GE Corometric fetal monitoring.
  • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 during active labor and 3:3 for couplets.

Description:

Care of the laboring, pre-term, and post-partum OB patients and newborns is required.The role involves vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation.Candidates should be proficient in cervical exams and fetal monitor interpretation.Equipment utilized includes EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, and GE Corometric fetal monitoring.The nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 during active labor when the patient is on Pitocin, and 3:3 for couplets.Floating to other units/departments is rare.Dress code includes scrubs provided by the facility.A jump start then department orientation will be provided as needed to demonstrate competencies.Mandatory attendance is required for the full orientation program.
