Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN for Labor and Delivery to support a 13-week assignment. The nurse will participate in admissions, deliveries, and perioperative care, including cesarean sections and monitoring fetal status with electronic systems.

Requirements include RN licensure, 3 years in Labor and Delivery, and certifications (NRP, BLS, ACLS, AWHONN EFM) as beneficial. BSN is highly desired. Must reside within 100 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• NRP, BLS, ACLS, AWHONN - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certifications would support performance.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions, discharges, transfers and pre-operative assessments on labor and delivery.
• Provide care for laboring patients, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and document findings.

Description:Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required.A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desired.Patient population includes individuals of childbearing years, pregnant individuals at 17 weeks gestation, laboring individuals, scheduled procedures such as cesarean sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage procedures.Triage issues are also part of the responsibilities.The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative assessments, and deliveries (vaginal and cesarean).Common equipment used includes fetal monitors and electronic documentation systems.Applicants must have the required skills and qualifications to excel in this role.
